The White Rose
Overview:
The White Rose was an organization that started in Munich in 1942. The founders were a professor and his students from the University of Munich. The White Rose’s goal was to renew the crushed German spirit by informing the people that Hitler was a terrible leader because of his murdering of millions. They conveyed these ideas through paper pamphlets. The movement spread to multiple German cities. All of the White Rose leaders were captured and executed after a University of Munich janitor saw them with the pamphlets as they were trying to secretly organize a school-wide rebellion.
